Guest guest
Hi Gabrielle, well, there really are no recipes....the tiger striped pumpkin is a little bitty thing and i cut the top off to make a lid.....then scooped out all the seeds and strings and baked it at 400 for about 10 minutes....then took it out of the oven and rubbed a little bit of parmesan cheese on the inside of it, along with some salt and pepper... i have some frozen cranberries and took a hndfull-maybe a dozen-to pulse in the food processor....added some chopped walnuts , another 1/2 cup of dressing mix(this time it was stove-top, but usually i use either croutons or pepperidge farm) and add a little melted butter and water..also chopped up a wee small onion(and I do mean small!) and a 2 inch piece of celery. SInce I love garlic i put in a few whole cloves and packed the pumpkin----put the lid on and put it back in the oven...baked at 350 for 1/2 hour and checked it...this was done in that time ...the cranberries were pretty tart but that was ok with me....the butter helped to tone them down a little. Hope that explains it...........If i'd had whole berry sauce from a can..i would have added that in a small quantity instead of thefrozen cranberries....but i took an oath!!!!! that i would only cook from what i had in the house and shop only once a week!. Living alone it is easy to to say, well, can;t cook that cause i don;t have the ingredients....or the opposite...oh, i have to run out and get everything i don;t have. ktj

Guest guest
I get pizza dough from Trader Joe's for $1. With 1 dough, I made 2 calzones. One with broccoli rabe and the other with mushrooms. That and a salad, very filling. --- On Mon, 10/19/09, Gabriele <zookeeper2007 wrote: Gabriele <zookeeper2007 RE: what am i having for dinner tonight- meal plan Monday, October 19, 2009, 7:39 PM Thanks I will have to try that The only spices are garlic , onion and s & P. simple enough.
