Guest guest
I'll have to make sure to try the Subway veggie delight. I know I'd probably love the Taco Bell bean burrito, because I love refried beans. Isn't that what's on bean burritos? Correct me if I'm wrong, please. LOL. All I know is that I love dipping tortilla chips in bean dip. Many yums. :-) Love & Peace Up, ***Sara***
Guest guest
If I have to stop I grab a bean burrito from Taco Bell or a Subway's Veggie Delite. Even steamed white rice and just carry some things to garnish it with. I usually have Mrs. Dash and a baggy of roasted sesame seeds with me in the glove compartment to toss on the rice. It will hold you over. I'm not crazy about the Burger King veggie burger but if you have to eat one it will get you by. Donna Tonya <DreamInWhispers wrote: That IS awesome! I run into the fast food restaurant problem now and then. Its tough to find a good, filling veg meal when you're in a pinch. I try to keep my order to salads and french fries... only as a last ditch option. Sometimes I can convince a place to make me a meatless version of one of the sandwiches. I get some funny looks, but its more filling than a limp salad and greasy fries. Its fun when people start following after you. My mom recently decided to start dropping red meats and dairy out of her diet. For my mom, this is a HUGE step. She said her reasoning is that she sees how much better I look and act when I'm eating veg... and she wants that too. *Tonya www.dreaminwhispers.com ---- Jenny Rieck 01/27/06 21:08:12 awesome news Hi Everyone! I've been a vegetarian for 18 years and tonight my omnivore (his Mom served veal for Christmas!) husband of 5 years came home and told me that he wants to be a vegetarian. We have a 13 month old son who I'm raising vegetarian and I'm so excited! He said that he thinks he might have trouble when he's on the road, " starving " , and the only thing to eat is Wendy's or McDonald's. He (or I) will pack a snack in order to avoid this problem. Anyway, I just feel elated, like one person (ME!) can quietly (ok, sometimes not so quietly) influence others to move toward kindness and compassion. I'll keep ya'll updated on his progress but for now I'm enjoying a " vegetarian victory " !! -Jenn PS Any snack ideas are appreciated!! Guest guest
A bean burrito is one of my favorites but I am so leary of eating refried beans out because of the lard in them. Of course I buy vegetarian refried and make my own. Nothing better than a potato, refried burrito on a whole wheat/spinach/sun dried tortilla wrap(lard free).
