Do you have a specific recipe you want to try?

I grate them on salads. Little nippy and I have a good feeling you will enjoy

it.

Recently back from a grocery shopping trip, I'm feeling awfully silly

now for passing up an opportunity for my first taste of daikon radish.

You see, there was a sign that I could have swore read " $1.79 each "

above the daikon radish bin. So, I grabbed the biggest one I could

find, quite pleased with the bargain. When I got to the register,

however, it came up as $3.50. You guessed it, it was per lb. Taken

aback by my mistake and the new price, I opted not to purchase it,

after all, saying " that experiment will have to wait. " Not that it

would have made a big difference in relation to the $88 total without

it. Oh well, next time indeed.

It's funny, even the cashier and bagger said " Never seen one

of these before. What are you going to do with it? " I said

" I don't know, probably bake it. " <shrug>

Go to the Asian recipe folder and look at Szechwan Slaw just a tip for using

daikon radish when you find a small one.LOL See if the recipe interests you.

It's good grated in salads with vinegar type dressings also.

Last weekend the checker didn't know what my butternut squash was.
