Cranberry Sour Cream Cookies

 

1 C. firmly packed dark brown sugar

1 C. butter or margarine, softened

2 eggs

1/2 C. sour cream

3 1/2 C. flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/4 tsp. cloves

1 C. (5 oz.) dried cranberries

1 C. golden raisins

 

Preheat oven to 400º F.

Lightly grease cookie sheets. Beat sugar and butter in large bowl until

light and fluffy. Add eggs and sour cream; beat until creamy. Stir

together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in small

bowl. Gradually add to sugar mixture, beating until well mixed. Stir in

cranberries and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie

sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie

sheets to cooling racks; cool. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

I made these but substituted dried cherries for the cranberries. Yum, yum!
