Ruth's Chow Chow recipe

I got my girlfriend to email me her Mom's Chow Chow recipe.

Here it is. I have tasted it, very very good. Maybe someone

wants to try this recipe.

 

Ruth's Chow Chow

 

4 red bell peppers, diced

4 green bell peppers, diced

2 orange bell peppers, diced

1 cup of fresh corn

1/2 head green cabbage, finely chopped

3 yellow onions, chopped

3 celery stalks, diced

1 carrot, diced

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon celery seeds

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon dried ginger

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon coriander

pinch ground cloves

salt to taste

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups white vinegar

 

Place everything in a stock pot and broil to a boil.

Simmer for 30 minutes. Put in a few jars and don't fill to the

top. Keep one in the refrigerator to eat and freeze the others.
