Guest guest
I used my foodprocessor to make hot salsa a few days ago. Now the plastic bowl has picked up the scent and heat of the peppers. I can't use it for shredding my carrots for carrot caket. Does anyone know how to get it back to normal? Guest guest
That is one good question. I did that once with a blender that was plastic. I did everything to it. Soaked in soapy water and also placed lemon juice it in. I couldn't get the hot pepper taste out. Now I wonder if baking soda or something else would work. Hope someone has the solution. Guest guest
heres what I did with mine: washed it with a specially formulated grease cutting dish detergent, then soaked it in a mixture of baking soda and vinegar, then soaked in lemon juice and washed again. Someone gave me this method. I didn't question why so many steps. I did it and it worked. Guest guest
I've also done the vinegar and baking soda and let it soak, but without the other steps, and it worked for me.
