Well, I've finally progressed and can safely say that I've begun the

process of early labor! Awoke this morning after a night of cramping

and my contractions have been moving right along. Have spoken to our

midwife twice and she says that I'm doing great. She wants us to labor

at home for as long as possible. If we do start getting nervous, we can

always drive into Des Moines (1 1/2hr) go see her and then check into a

hotel; but we'd rather not do that.

I was lying down for awhile but got hungry so ate a PBJ and thought

about coming on line since I hadn't posted that carrot recipe, yet. I

was also quite productive this morning, tidying up the kitchen and the

bedroom. I think now that I've eaten I will lay down again and try to

take a nap. I haven't been sleeping well for the past four nights and I

know I'll need my energy for later today/tonight.

Anyway, it may be awhile that I'm online again, but will let you all

know soon about our little babe.

this is so exciting!
