Guest guest
Love cucumbers too...I also deseed the really seedy ones. I find " english " cukes on sale sometimes, they are seed free, & I just love them. I love cucumber sandwiches (especially fancy tea type with thin sliced white bread) a little cream cheese & cucumber sliced thin. m

Guest guest
I don't have a problem with the seeds, but I have to cut the peel off of cukes and zukes. ===== Love cucumbers too...I also deseed the really seedy ones. Guest guest
The only ones I can stand a peel on are the pickling ones. The others are too waxy. Bleah! V. Guest guest
I learn so much from being in this group. I had no idea that there were different types of cucumber - I guess being in Britain the cucumbers we have here must be " English " ones. Christie , liz damon <ranliz524 wrote: > > Boy! I live in Pennsylvania and our Haas avocados are a lot more expensive. If you are lucky you can get them for $1.75 a piece and that is from somewhere like Walmart where the produce is cheaper. In a grocery store they can go for close to $3. a piece. Our English cucumbers are close to $2 and regular cukes right now are going about 89 cents a piece. I can't wait til summer when our markets are open and the prices are much cheaper. By the way these prices aren't even for the organic veggies. I wish we had your prices. >
