My favorite veggie burgers are Boca Burgers and Gardenburger Riblets. I also

like Gardenburger's veggie burgers too - in fact, Gardenburgers were the

first I ever tried. There's something about Boca though that I love!

These are veggie burgers, but Morningstar Farms have what are called Meal

Starters, you can either get " chicken " or " steak " strips. Once I made " chicken "

alfredo with it, and I was able to fool my aunt! Haha! She didn't know it

was fake chicken until she noticed that I was eating it and said, " This is your

fake crap, isn't it? " LOL. It was funny the way she said that, but I knew

she was joking so it didn't offend me. She still loved it though. :-)

Veggie Burger?

I found Dr. Praeger's burgers to be the best for me. They are full of

vegetables and not meat tasting, shaped round like a burger and make a great

lunch with all the garnish.

My favorite one is to make the black bean burgers, I found the recipe

in the files. I buy Boca cheeseburger one sometimes if I can find it.

i like the original gardenburgers best because they

don't try to look or taste like meat.

I don't cook. I will microwave my favorite, a Riblet and put in a

sandwich. I eat all the other burgers that are handed to me so I never

know if they are homemade or not but I do know they are vegetarian.

I make sure I avoid the kitchen, I might get stuck having to wash a

dish or something.

I think they taste really great, but I was unhappy with the texture....kind

of mushy to me. I also found the price prohibitive....$5.99 (for four) in

Shoprite! I know they can be had cheaper, but they were there and I wanted to

try

them.

My favorites are still Morningstar's Prime Grillers and Fantastic Foods makes

a nice veggie burger mix ( comes dry and consists of beans, whole grains,

veggies, spices, etc. that you just add water to, form into patties and fry in a

bit of oil or bake). Not always easy to find though. I usually make a bunch,

freeze them and use as needed.

*rotfl* sounds like my mom! My sister used to make a molded rice

pudding, with a raspberry sauce to go with it... my mom always refers

to it as " that red crap " , and she loves the stuff... ('course, when

you're as old as my mom, you get away with a lot! *lol* She's 80.)

I dont like the burgers much anymore, but if I had to pick it'd be the

plain old soy ones.

I much prefer the garden burger chick patties!

I find Dr. Praegers for about $3.89, they are soft but I pan fry

until crispy and add a slice of vegan Gourmet cheese on top. Not bad

at all.
