Guest guest
Starbucks Hot Chocolate 1/4 cup water 2 TB cocoa 2 TB granulated sugar 1-1/2 cups milk 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract Combine water, cocoa, and sugar in a 2 cup glass measuring cup. Heat the mixture on high for 30 seconds, or until hot. Stir well to create chocolate syrup. Add milk to the chocolate syrup and heat mixture for 90 seconds or until hot. Add the vanilla extract and pour drink into a 16 ounce coffee mug. Serve with whipped cream on top. Makes 1 (16 oz.) serving.

Guest guest
Speaking of Starbucks hot chocolate, they have discontinued their new product Chantico, introduced last year. Perhaps people were scared away by these daunting nutrition figures?: A six-ounce cup of Chantico contains 390 calories, 20g of fat and 50g of carbs Ouch! -Erin
Guest guest
If this was in reference to my Chantico comment, I should clarify that Starbucks has not discontinued their regular hot chocolate, but rather their new Chantico product of last year. It was an ultra-rich hot chocolate with spices, loosely based on the Aztec drinking chocolate. It was far more fattening than their standard hot chocolate, as it was loaded with cocoa butter. -Erin , grow514 wrote: > > My recipe is a copy cat...not the original recipe. > > Joanie
Guest guest
Isn't that the way it always goes? All the best things are fattening. LOL! Joanie
