That's good.

That would be wonderful if you could share the recipe.

I've never seen the make with just broth.

Hmmm this is weird. The recipe I was thinking of is the filling. The recipe

I use for the masa does call for shortening, I wonder if I just left it out.

Its been so long I don't recall. Now I'm really curious. AmyF

Nobody told me there'd be days like these

Strange days indeed

most peculiar

Mama.

Everybody's smoking and no one's getting high

Everybody's flying and never touch the sky

There's Ufo's over New York and I ain't too surprised.

Nobody told me there'd be days like these

I don't recommend it. The shortening is whipped first and makes the perfect

texture with the masa. Now you can use Spectrum shortening, healthier version

instead of Crisco.

Donna,

I can't wait to try the Spectrum shortening. I followed your tamale

recipe last time and my tamale's were perfect.Well not in looks mind

you but the taste couldn't have been better. I love the look of the

tied corn husks. So Earthy looking. I think of the woman who came up

with this idea eons ago. Experimenting in her kitchen like we do. Bless

her heart and all the other cooks and bakers who came before us.
