Greetings All - my name is Roger. I'm an ova-lacto veggie living in NYC. Very

excited to be a part of this group as I'm always looking for new and delish

recipes.

 

My fave way to start the day is with a delicious fruit smoothie made with

O.J., protein powder (I use the Vanilla Whey kind), a tablespoon of peanut

butter, frozen fruit (I tend to use strawberries, blueberries and raspberries)

and no fat yogurt. Put all the ingredients in the blender and in less than a

minute - delicious and nutritious. This is a great way for any veggie body

builders or fitness enthusiasts to start their workout. Also works great as a

post workout pick me up!

-Greetings to you Roger and welcome,

I too like a pick-me-up shake in the morning or any time of the day

especially in the hot summer months. Anything goes in a shake and it

is so easy to get the protein and vitamins needed for the day in a

simple, enjoyable drink. I use Naturade Orgainc Soy meal replacement

powder and whatever else suits my fancy. At 65 I can't imagine myself

as a *body builder* or having a *work out* but would walking on the

river trail count? LOL
