Guest guest
You can substitute it for oil in brownies. My DH's family has an apple farm in upstate NY and I have one of their cookbooks, I'll pull it out later and look. For now its back to cleaning, UGH. Guest guest
A couple weeks ago, I made a chocolate cake containing applesauce, and as so often happens, I am left with a large amount of applesauce yet to use, and it's been a couple weeks now. Oh, how many times I check back later to find it getting moldy. This is because I seldom eat applesauce on its own, preferring crunchy snacks, like raw apples, cereal, nuts, etc.. Soooo, after that long preamble, I was hoping your collective experience and familiarity with the Files could help me with more recipes and uses for this leftover applesauce. Thanks, -Erin
Guest guest
Yes, that is essentially what it was doing in the chocolate cake as well. No added fats. My kind of recipe. -Erin , akfral wrote: > > You can substitute it for oil in brownies. Guest guest
I think I'm all set. I just cruised the files and wrote down several recipes that should help me finish this jar of applesauce before it goes bad. There are some sweet bread recipes, muffins, and cookies. -Erin , " Erin " <truepatriot wrote: > > A couple weeks ago, I made a chocolate cake containing > applesauce, and as so often happens, I am left with a > large amount of applesauce yet to use, and it's been a > couple weeks now.
