Mel,

I look at food as medicine. It can either kill you or heal you. It sounds

like you need food for your kidneys. Cucumbers are one of the best foods for

the kidneys. Eat them in salads or raita or juice them. EAt watermelon. You

can even eat it for a day and that's all. you said you likee soups. Soups are

one of the best for the kidneys because of all the water. just cut down on the

salt. With a recipe like kitcheree, you can live on it forever. It has a

complete protein, water, healing herbs, and lots of vitamins and minerals.

Sprouts contain live enzymes and are very nutritious because they come from the

very seed that contains all the nutrients that a plant needs to thrive. It will

do the same for you body. Grow your own sprouts and they are cheap to grow.

Put them on salads, soups, anything.

We all have the power to control our own health to an extent. Doctors can

asssist us but we make the ultimate decision on our health. I know from

experience that we can reverse our illnesses. I have started to come down with

a cold or flu and know certain herbs can knock it out and it usually works for

me. When I wa in sixth grade, I was told that I had ot wear glasses for

nearsightedness. All the doctors said i would wear glasses all my lifee and

that my eyes would only get worse. I did a certain diet and yogic eye exercises

and I only wear glasses when I drive. ( I'll have to start doing those

exercises again.) There are certain herbs and diets and cleanses and formulas

for the kidneys and the ovaries. If you would like more information on these,

it would be best to contact me offline. I have been a yoga instructor for over

30 years and would recommend this one exericse in particular for the kidneys and

ovaries. Here is the link:

I need of help

I am in need of some assistance and ideas from you

wonderful people.

First off, I haven't been checking the posts lately

because of a lot of drama in my life. In short, I

broke up with my boyfriend in a bad bad situation that

ended with me in the hospital, major depression issues

due to stress at work, illness from my endometriosis

and now the boyfriend issue, and I have lost my job.

My contract with the school district is not being

renewed due to my excessive absences from school. I

finish out the year but I will no longer have health

insurance so I can't have my hysterectomy this summer

like I wanted.

I am going right now to do them . Would you please contact me off

for the eyes?

We are fortunate to have your knowledge and experience in this group.

-I am remembering the *palming * exercise that I often did and the

massage around the eyes. Palming is rubbing ones hands together to

create *energy* and cupping your hands over your open eyes. This is a

great exercise for tired and strained eyes. Better ask GB to make sure

I am remembering how to do this correctly. I too think of food as

medicine and often meditate on what my body needs daily.

Deanna,

Yes, palming and those exercises are all good. Another simple one is to close

your eyes and put your thumb between the eye and under the top of the eye

socket. Gently push on this area where there is a notch under the skull. Many

people do not like to do this because they have never massaged there and to them

it feels weird.

Yes it does. Feels like I'm going to dislocate my eyeball. Or I'm doing it

wrong. I do often massage the bridge of my nose to my eyeballs. Does that make

sense? Squeezing for some reason helps my sinuses. I massage my eyeballs all

the time. A good reason not to wear eye makeup, lol.

Beth,

I'll explain it a different way. From your description, it seems as though

you have your thumb pointed the wrong way - away from your face. I am not there

to se it. Take your thumbs with fingertnail side of thumbs nearest your eye.

Take the thumb and gently insert it (with the eyelids closed) above the eye and

below the skull. It should fit in a notch near the nose. Massage this area. It

may even feel like a headache kind of hurt. That's okay. just don't poke the

eye itself, It should release a lot of tension in many people. It is good for

some headaches.
