I have a bamboo steamer but haven't used it for rice yet. Anyone have some tips on using it with rice? I assume I need to line the bottom with lettuce leaves but haven't looked into it yet. Guest guest
What is the benefit in cooking your brown rice in a rice cooker? It seems to take quite a long time. I usually cook mine in the microwave which takes about 10 minutes using boiling water and makes really good brown rice. Guest guest
Sorry, Mike Badly phrased. I didn't mean to suggest that you or anyone should get a microwave - I know that a lot of people here are anti-microwave. I too sometimes cook rice on the stove top, and I've never had a problem with the results but I was thinking that perhaps a rice cooker had some special benefit.
