I was raised with and still use all cast iron and a few stainless steel pans.

I feel they are both safe. I don't use teflon or aluminum pans. Have you ever

seen people cooking in teflon pans with the teflon peeling off? Now that is

super scary. This like has some good information about the safety of different

type cookware materials.

Hello group,

I have a question. Doesn't ingesting food from cast iron give you too much

iron for your body to handle ? I've been using mostly stainless steel lately.

I'm a health finatic and have heard horror stories about the chemicals in

nonstick as well. Denise W.

I agree with the danger of Teflon pans. There is a study going on now, to

link peeling or scratched Teflon pans with fibromyalgia. My daughter suffers

from fibromyalgia. My suggestion is, don't use anything but cast iron or

stainless steel. Aluminum pans may contribute to Alzheimer's.
