Guest guest
They do sound good. Tell me how they turn out and I;ll make sure the recipe gets in the file. It does sound pretty good, don't you think? These are in the appetizer section, but they kind of sound like todays lunch to me. Baked Spinach Balls Ingredients: 2 cups sage and onion or herb-seasoned bread stuffing mix 1 small onion, chopped 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained 1/4 cup broth 2 egg whites, beaten Dijon or honey mustard (optional) Directions: 1. Combine bread stuffing mix, onion, cheese, garlic, thyme and pepper in medium bowl; mix well. Combine spinach, broth and egg whites in separate medium bowl; mix well. Stir into bread cube mixture. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour or until mixture is firm. 2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Shape mixture into 24 balls; place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until spinach balls are browned. Serve with mustard for dipping, if desired. Garnish, if desired.
Guest guest
They were good as a lunch food, or comfort food. Reminded me quite a bit of the dressing balls my MIL used to make on Thanksgiving. As an appetizer I think they were missing something, since they weren't very exciting. Not exactly sure what.....maybe water chestnuts or pecans? - Donnalilacflower Wednesday, March 29, 2006 11:13 AM Re: Baked Spinach Balls Colette They do sound good. Guest guest
Let me know how it is! Lucky you, I can't really get any good radish leaves here this time of year. - Donnalilacflower Wednesday, March 29, 2006 10:01 PM Re: Re: Baked Spinach Balls Colette All filed.
