I like the mixes with less peanuts and cashews. Prefer the almonds. AmyF

Guest guest
I enjoy eating frozen vegetables like peas, corn and edaname for a snack, they are especially good when the weather is hot. I also like frozen grapes. Dates, dried figs, nuts and of course potato chips. Guest guest
POPCORN. No two ways about it, popcorn, IMO, is the perfect food. Often with parmesan cheese and garlic salt, or cajun spices, or Cavender's Greek Seasoning, or seasoned salt, or curry powder and cayenne. I'd never need to exercise if I never ate popcorn, but some things are worth the sacrifice. Guest guest
Sweets, cookies and brownies -- but I try not to have them around, because if they're there, I eat them ALL!! Potato chips are ok, but I usually only eat them with a sandwich -- kettle-cooked bbq are the best! I like frozen grapes, and an apple always satisfies me. I'm going to have to find those blue diamond flavored almonds, though, they sound great! Guest guest
Favorite SNACKS?? The " gotta have 'em " craving things??? Oh, it HAS to be: deep fried, cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers! I get them in a bag from Schwann's or buy them in a box from the store...or get in the car and drive thru an Arby's for 5 little bitty ones! I fight the craving for them most of the time, but recently, the Schwann's guy came by and I just HAD to buy a bag for the freezer! Ditto, lately, for those wedge-shaped seasoned chunky fried potatoes! Three or four times in the past month and a half, I have either jumped in the car to get them myself, stopped on the way home from somewhere or sent my loving, sweet DH out to procure them--from KFC's drive-thru, the only place in town, other than occasionally from the Wal-Mart deli, that they are available. So, when the Schwann guy came the other evening and had the cheese-peppers on his truck, I added a bag of frozen " wedge " potatoes with spices and skins. Now I have to restrain myself from wanting to bake them every night! At least when I have the stuff in the freezer, I have to do the " work " of baking them...so I'm less apt to impulsively GRAB for them! It's WINTER here now...for some reason, all kinds of starchy, fatty and spicy foods sound SO good and enticing right now!! I did my exercise today and (so far) every day this week--walked outdoors and then went to the " Y " to work out on machines.. It may be a losing battle to fight my winter-time cravings for potatoes and fried peppers with cheese inside! I try to limit it a little, anyway! LOL! --Laura B., in chilly Illinois! PS: If you are asking what our " HOLIDAY " favorite " snacks " are, well, I guess we don't make too many things JUST for holidays...DH and I both like spiced hot cider (or cold cider, in fact), and it's readily available around here. I found a CHOCOLATE flavored herbal tea that has a lot of promise--I love things that are sweet and " cozy-warm " , like hot chocolate and such. That's good to have and sit near a fire (fake gas fireplace, but it's warm, anyway!) and read or watch some TV in the evenings that are dark by 3 PM!
