Guest guest
I have 6 mushroom books and other mushroom pamphlets. 3 with good pictures are Simon and Schuster, Audubon Society and Mushrooms of N. America by Miller. and also Medicinal Mushrooms and 2 Alaska mushroom books. I would recommend the first 3 for foraging. Most Mushroomers think one by David Aurora is the best. I don't have it but I think it is about $40. I took the mushroom quiz. I think the first question about inky caps is wrong. If it's right then i'd be pretty sick since I've cooked and eaten a lot of those. All my mushroom books say not to eat them if you drink alcohol at about the same time but I don't drink. Actually they are in the same family as the shaggy mane which is also in the quiz and you should not drink and eat those. Otherwise, the books say you can eat them so I think all of you can add another point to your score. GB Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1 & cent;/min.
