Guest guest
Hi AJ, So good to see a new adult veggie like me.From what I hear from other vegetarians I know, most started early in life. So what is almost a vegetarian? Do you eat any meat? Or are you just still having cheese like me? I know that there are several types of vegetarians. What are the types? I can't remember them all. I made some awesome cabbage rolls tonight and even my little finicky daughter ate them without complaint! I might just post the recipe. This is going to work for my family. I just know it! Take care, Carmen , " AJ " <coolcook wrote: > > Welcome to all the new people, im a month old so still a newbie to lol > You will love it here, friendly people and all are willing to help. > I have learned so much and gotten so great recipes, I'm not vegetarian but im so close. > I just love it here <<DOES a happy dance. > AJ > >
Guest guest
-Welcome Carmen, You are going to like this group. Lots of great ideas and recipes, Vegetarian and Vegan. Your cabbage rolls sound good. I like to make them in the crock pot. I fill mine with a mushroom-rice mixture and they are really good. If your daughter will eat cabbage rolls she will love some of the fun kid recipes that are in the files. Guest guest
Hi Carmen I am almost vegetarian but not quit cause i eat fish and cheese, I am an ex very heavy person and started eating low fat 7 years ago, then i realized when i wasn't eating meat i lost more weight well, whoop de do, i stuck to fish and cheese and veggies. Then reached my goal. and have kept it there for 2 years now. I haven't had red meat in 5 years and feel good about that. Cheese is hard because i can't find ones i like so i stick to the old ones for now. I'm lucky if my kids see me eating something they will try it and so far there isn't much they won't eat lol. They love tofu and veggies and even ask for carrots to snack on lol They have never been to Mac D's or buger king and that im proud of. i cook allot 3 to 4 meals a day and i never buy store bought cookies or treats i make those. So im a happy camper with this group they give me great ideas and yummmmmy recipes. Take care and welcome to the group. Guest guest
Hi AJ, Yes I am having the same struggles with the cheese issue. So far I just can't find something that is good. I was on a site called veggieglobal and they talked of finding a cheese that is vegetable rennet based instead of animal rennet based. I am still trying to figure that one out. Good for you that your kids have been kept out of the fast food world! That is so awesome. Can't say that I have done that but we are sure trying. If we do go somewhere I have started scoping out places that have veggie choices. Thanks again for responding Carmen
