Guest guest
Hi Donna - I've missed being here as well. Feel in with a meat eater for awhile -- *gasp* -- tried my best to convert him LOL Things are going well with meals at home. Ready to look back and see what I've missed; try some new things. The Jamaican yam recipe sounds soooo yummy. Cyndy
Guest guest
Good, you're back. Conversion never works, sometimes it makes people more defensive. Last laugh is on all the now vegetarians that picked at me in the past for being a vegetarian and I never force it upon anyone. Just an offer of good veggie food does it much of the time. They get a little curious, want to know what you are eating, where did you find the ingredients, how did you cook it, do you have a vegetarian cookbook I can look at, well maybe if you have a recipe do you want to share it with me and maybe I'll try making it........and on and on we go. Guest guest
I used to pick mushrooms. I had a friend who thought she was an expert (and I thought she was too) and picked several different kinds of mushrooms. She picked the wrong one and it killed her. This was about 37 years ago. I never picked mushrooms again. I always buy the commercially grown ones now. What a terrible tragedy that was. I only know one kind of mushroom to pick. But I don't want to take a chance on getting a " copy cat " mushroom that is poisonous, like she did. Joanie

Guest guest
It really terrified me. She left a hubby to raise four little kiddies alone. I'll never pick mushrooms again. Joanie

Guest guest
I think that is the smartest thing to do...buy commercially grown mushrooms from the grocer. Joanie
