Guest guest
I have been a vegan in diet for almost 20yrs and have been on the junk food diet trap of gluten, plus other things, I am a mature aged student (42yrs old) studying and wanting to know, what are your experiences with diet and studies and have you needed to change anything in your diet to help you in thinking, as in improving your memory, to give you more sustaining energy for study and concentration? >
Guest guest
Hi Colin, I went to seminary when I was 45. I was (still am) a vegan. I found that I really didn't need to change anything except my habit of not eating breakfast in the morning. Other than that, just a well-rounded, nutritionally sound vegan diet worked well for me. Guest guest
No processed grains, only whole grains, especially brown rice, which release sugar into the bloodstream at a steady slower rate which gives you endurance and energy. No processed sugar but only some fruit sugar or brown rice syrup. >Colin Hammond <nilochammond > > > Diet for a Vegan Student? >Wed, 25 Jan 2006 18:58:12 +1100 > >I have been a vegan in diet for almost 20yrs and have been on the junk >food diet trap of gluten, plus other things, I am a mature aged student >(42yrs old) studying and wanting to know, what are your experiences with >diet and studies and have you needed to change anything in your diet to >help you in thinking, as in improving your memory, to give you more >sustaining energy for study and concentration? > > > > > >

Guest guest
I've heard that EFA's are important for memory. I've added Silk Enhanced soymilk to my diet along with Hemp Waffles (they taste much better than the Flax Waffles and have more n3). Guest guest
Hi Colin, I find that I need extra protein to help me study. I tend to snack on nuts or seeds while I study and that really helps.
