Looking for vegetarian moms/families in the Western Suburbs of Chicago

Im looking for like minded parents who are raising their children

vegetarian. I find that the play groups that we have been attending

end up meeting at Mc Donalds and the like which I find offensive to

say the least. If anyone knows of a mothers group which supports this

lifestyle in the area please let me know. We are located in the Fox

Valley (St Charles) area.

If you could get to the city, or at least to Oak Park,

you'd have a chance, but I know St. Charles is at

least 45 minutes from the city (one way) when there's

no traffic.

 

I would suggest going to the nearest Whole Foods to

Fermi Lab and see if there are any groups listed on

the bulletin board. That would be my first move.

Argonne is probably too far away from you (DuPage

county). And, of course, if there's a Whole Foods

even closer to you, try that one too. If nothing

else, ask customer service when they usually see

parents of small children in the store, make a point

to be there then, and then boldly introduce yourself

to other parents and ask for their advice.

Hi,

 

I'm not sure if you're vegan, but we have a group called the Chicago Vegan

Family Network where we meet once a month for a potluck and sometimes for

playdates/field trips throughout the month. If you're interested, feel free

to email me. It's a great group of people and a lot of support.
