Guest guest
We picked up the Nature Valley Fruit Apple Crisps - made of 100% apples pieces, baked, not fried, at Sam's club. These are really yummy. I thought some of you might not have tried this product and would enjoy it. http://www.generalmills.com/corporate/brands/product.aspx?catID=71# Enjoy, Judy
Guest guest
At Sam's???? I just bought a box for emergency fruit at the plain old grocery store. I was shocked that the ingredients list was simple and they were sooooo crispy not chewy like some apple chips. Guest guest
I am still kind of new to the whole vegan thing, but I was wondering, how do you know that food is vegan. Like for instance on these I clicked the link and it says natural flavoring. Someone else had mentioned that a pasta sause they believed to be vegan was not, and it said natural flavoring or something similar. Do you contact the company always or something? wwjd <jtwigg wrote: Yes we loved how crispy they were and just dried apples baked..... Aren't they great? Guest guest
sometimes natural flavoring means it's veggie and sometimes it doesn't. contacting the company is one way to find out, but in general, we just figure, if they're not willing to tell us straight out what it is, we're not willing to eat it. same thing with additives that we can't pronounce -- rather than going out of our way to find out if it's vegan or not, we just assume, we probably shouldn't be eating it if it's something we can't identify, not just for veganism's sake, but for health's sake.
