Guest guest
Hello, This afternoon VRG received a phone call from a producer from the Today Show. They are doing a segment that focuses on vegetarian kids. They would like to talk to parents about the concerns that they had when their child decided to become a vegetarian. They would like the children to be between the ages of 6 and 17 (high school age). If your family meets these criteria, and you would like to be on the Today Show, please email me. Thanks! -- John L. Guest guest
Dear John, I am interested in appearing on the Today show. My son is 10 and vegan since birth. Don't know if that fits. I'm more than happy to speak with a producer. We are in Silver Spring, MD. Thanks, Laura Marks 301-467-8725

Oh, please please assure us that someone reasonable & rational will be presenting factual information about vegetarianism to show that the parents' " concerns " are not justified. Guest guest
Unfortunately, there are no assurances when it comes to the media. All we can do is provide them with good information, but in the end they get to decide what goes on the air. However, based on my conversation with the producer, it sounds like the segment will focus on educating parents on how to make sure their vegetarian child is getting proper nutrition, as opposed to an anti-vegetarian scare piece. Guest guest
That is what I was thinking.. why don't they want to talk to parents who are and have successfully raised vegetarian or vegan kids since birth. Instead of parents upset because their kids are no longer eating meat. Renee ERB <bakwin wrote: <<This afternoon VRG received a phone call from a producer from the Today Show.
