Guest guest
hi Just a quick question. When did you all start raw veggies with your litle ones. I have a 2 year old and she is interested in everything my older children have. I am worried that she might choke. How about raw nuts. Guest guest
Something like that will be different for every child. We trusted my daughter with raw vegetables much earlier than we trusted my son. As for nuts, really watch those since they're quite a bit harder to chew than, say, a tomato or cucumber. Start out with things like avocado and pears that are easy to chew, then work from there. Only start them when she is really making a lot of effort to chew. Guest guest
We did not start raw veggies until our daughter had molars. I will say that the first few times I watched her like a hawk, baby first aid class running through my brain. carol sobczak <cpsobczak wrote: hi Just a quick question. Guest guest
my son is 18 mos., has all of his teeth, and we still don't do raw nuts. i just don't have faith that he'll actually chew it; i still see an awful lot of whole items of food in his diapers. we will do the occasional raw vegetables, if it's something fairly easy to chew, like broccoli or squash, but i shred everything else.
