<sigh>

yup, sounds a tad bit familiar :)

the only way I can get Zak (4) to eat anything other than corn,

potatoes or sweet potato pie is to disguise it

the best disguise for us is blending it into pasta sauce or even

pizza sauce

things like zuchinni bread go well here too

i thought i was finicky as a child but he definately takes the cake

nikki :)

Good Morning Peter! :)

Ah yes, he definately has his Mommy's sweet tooth!

We just made the most awesome cookies! All kinds - about 300 cookies

in all. We give them to the family at Christmas time every year. And

they are sooooooo good!

So Zak and I are trying very hard not to eat them all before we get

them wrapped!

nikki :)

Hi Nikki

Well, he should give it back.

Is that a big family - or is it a small family of big people :-)

Just make sure she is eating lots of fruits and vegetables and beans and things

like tofu, and she will be fine. I was 12 when I switched over, a little over

ten years ago, and I have been much healthier because of it. I'm so glad you're

supporting her on her choice. Excluding meat from the diet pretty much just

means your daughter will need to replace a little protein and iron- easy, just

get her some beans or tofu and some spinach! Meat isn't the healthy staple it's

made out to be. It's got very little benefit with a whooooole lot of fat and

whatever poison was put into the animal like antibiotics and growth hormones.

Don't worry too much, she will be just fine as long as she sticks to healthy

foods instead of just vegetarian junk food. :)

Did you get answers on this? I am in no way skilled or qualified at

giving nutritional advice. But, frankly I worry more about the

11-year-olds that eat meat! Maybe researching nutrition can be a project

for her. Then she will be healthier than her omnivorous friends.

Congrats to your daughter and good luck to you both.
