Guest guest
For anyone who missed it the first time, Tricia's warning about POM juice deserves a repeat. Shocking to think they are testing on animals not for any noble purpose (which itself would be debatable, as we all know well!) but in order to make health claims about pomegranate juice. Pleased to discover our local Co-op sells also " Purely Juice " (American and cheaper than POM) and " Just Juice " (Canadian and ORGANIC). ~P Tricia McElwee wrote: > http://www.peta.org/feat-pom.asp <http://www.peta.org/feat-pom.asp>
Guest guest
This was also posted to a rat group I'm on, they do some really, really horrible things to rats and mice. I have both as pets so that is extra disturbing, knowing how sweet and wonderful these animals are just to be tested on like that. Really terrible. Guest guest
thank you kadee! i think even most mainstream people think testing on cats and dogs is cruel, but most people write off mice and rats because they aren't as cute and cuddly. i've had rats as pets and they were so sweet and actually very loving. unfortunately i couldn't keep my dogs from knocking over their cage and killing them so that was that. but someday i hope to have rats again. i loved to carry pink and floyd around on my shoulder and feel them tuck their little heads into my neck and go to sleep. Guest guest
I heard that Whole Foods was going to pull their product unless they stopped the testing. Supposedly they have agreed to.... however, I question ever buying from them again anyway...the owner is unethical and told protestors he would not stop using animal testing - that is until Whole Foods threatened his livelihood. Good for Whole Foods, but this guy is an unethical dirtbag and I do not care to give my money to someone like him...besides, even if/when they stop the animal testing, how long will it be before non-tested product is in their warehouse and stocked in stores...they'll of course want to clear out and sell what's currently in the warehouse and that could be a large supply. Guest guest
Yeah, rats are like little dogs. One of my boys rolls over on his back when I pet him. He likes belly rubs. And another of them is such a tagalong. He follows me everywhere. Little rat shadow. And the mice... they're like cats. You have to earn their love by being their slave! Rotten little animals. earthmother <earthmother213 wrote: thank you kadee! i think even most mainstream people think testing on cats and dogs is cruel, but most people write off mice and rats because they aren't as cute and cuddly. i've had rats as pets and they were so sweet and actually very loving. unfortunately i couldn't keep my dogs from knocking over their cage and killing them so that was that. but someday i hope to have rats again. i loved to carry pink and floyd around on my shoulder and feel them tuck their little heads into my neck and go to sleep.
