Guest guest
It depends on the test I think. Some tests work as early as four days before you expect your period. The longer you wait, though, the more accurate the results will be. A false positive is very, very rare, but a false negative can happen if you test too early. Hope this helps. Guest guest
they are most accurate if you have missed your period already, and if you take it in the morning. that being said, i took pregnancy tests within a week after conceiving both of my kids, without having missed a period, and at night, and they still worked. a false positive is extremely unlikely, but if you haven't missed a period and it's not your first pee of the day, it is definitely possible to have a negative reading and have it be wrong. chandelle' (student midwife) On 2/6/07, Kadee M <abbey_road3012 wrote: > > How far along would one need to be before a pregnancy test would be > reasonably accurate? > > > Kadee Sedtal > > Build a man a fire and he'll stay warm for a day. Guest guest
BTW you're not going to believe this, but I saw Pregnancy test kits behind the counter at Dollar Tree last week. I was shocked they could sell them for only $1. The lady said that they sold like hot cakes and folks kept saying that they were easy and accurate, that had came back in the store later on and told them. - Jenny Rieck Tuesday, February 06, 2007 2:06 PM Re: pregnancy test question, sort of OT It depends on the test I think. Guest guest
I have 3 age 5, 3 and 15 mos, and for me, it is rough. My kids don't play together as much as I'd hope, and they all have master's degrees in clinging to my leg and crying about something, simultaneously. The baby could have written the book on how to be most high-needs baby possible. Literally. I'm hoping there will be benefits down the line for having them so close in age. We get pregnant so easily that even though my husband has had a vasectomy, we're STILL scared to have sex. _____ On Behalf Of robin koloms Tuesday, February 06, 2007 8:07 PM Re: pregnancy test question, sort of OT My friend and neighbor has five, ranging from six months to eight years old. Guest guest
Jeff should do what our friend Dan did. He and three friends went together, in a limo, and spent the rest of the day at someone's house with their ice packs eating junk food and watching movies. Guest guest
That would be funny as I've ever seen before. He won't even discuss it with me though! I can't imagine him going to work and asking around to see if anybody wants to go get a vasectomy with him. Really though, I'm sure that makes them feel better to have a group instead of being all alone. And I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate me babying him afterwards. That drives him nuts when I do that, he gets so much as a mild headache and I'm all over him seeing if he needs anything. robin koloms <rkoloms wrote: Jeff should do what our friend Dan did. Guest guest
They were college buddies and had actually been planning this for about 15 years; they waited until all four were ready (there were five, one chickened out).
