Eczema.

My son's (2 years old) eczema has really gotten bad over the last couple

days. Is anyone using a natural product they would recommend?

Thank you,

Mary

My son used to suffer terribly from eczema. We changed our laundry

detergent, soap and lotions to Daisy Blue Naturals. We also use the

dryer balls instead of dryer sheets (those we get from www.gaiam.com).

He hasn't had any breakouts in over 2 years!

You can check out the products at www.daisybluenaturals.com The only

problem is that you can only order online since they can't put their

products in stores since they are all natural and the lotions will

actually go bad after awhile since there aren't any chemicals to

preserve them. Can you tell I used to sell the product? Now I just

use it for my family since I am not cut out to be consultant.

Hope this helps,

Hemp oil, internally and externally, completely got rid of my son's eczema. We

rubbed the hemp oil into his skin two or three times a day and mixed maybe a

teaspoon total into two smoothies throughout the day. That was several months

ago and it hasn't come back, even with the heater on in the house.

I think it's good to try to incorporate the omega-3 oils and take

probiotics, but sometimes your skin will still get itchy if you are

prone to

eczema. I use a product called Florasone. It's homeopathic and says

it relieves itching, eczema, inflammation, and rashes. I have

found that it works great for me. I apply it to my itchy spots when I

get out of the shower and I have much less itching.

I seem to get eczema (or itchy spots) where my underwear and bra hits

my skin. Anyone else have that problem? A NAET Dr. thought

I was allergic to elastic. Her treatment didn't seem to help because

I still have issues with it several years later. What does help, is the

cream above and attempting to follow an alkaline (very green) diet.

I really like the dryer balls. My mom got us some from one of the big box

stores. But you can just use tennis balls instead, they work just as well.

:)

I have pretty sensitive skin, as does my son and we use Method laundry soap,

the free and clear one. I don't like the chemical smells of that stuff. If I

missed it hat much, I could always put in a home made 'dryer sheet' with

essential oil on it along with the dryer balls. :)

Oh, instead of a 'fabric softner' we use vinegar, it helps to wash out any

detergent residue, and it washes out, doesn't leave any vinegar smell

either. . When we used cloth diapers, the vinegar also seemed to help make

the diapers more absorbant (I think same for our towels).

Do you just pour in vinegar during the rinse cycle? How much do you use? That's

a great idea!

We hand up the clothes to dry inside the house.

Saves on electricity -- and eliminates the need for a humidifier. Which

may also help with dry skin.
