Guest guest
We ran out of bread, so I sent my husband to the convenience store. It was late at night and the commissary was closed. He came back with white bread. Poor Leah wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich so bad she couldn't stand it. Otherwise we'd have just waited till the next day. Anyway... I made her sandwich and put it on the table for her, and she just sat there looking at it for a while, and finally she poked the bread with her finger, looked at me with a very confused expression, and asked, " What's with this? " We always get the whole wheat kind, so the white looked odd to her. I just thought that was funny. Kadee

Guest guest
My daughter had her first encouter with white bread at preschool and refused to eat it. The staff had never had a kid who wouldn't eat bread and were qute disturbed. I had a hard time not laughing. Guest guest
LOL, my son (2) refuses to eat white bread. and last month my MIL offered him some chee-tos (i can't even describe how much it pisses me off that she does that - she KNOWS we don't eat cheese or junk food) and he just looked at it like she wanted him to eat lint or something. my husband and i laughed, " yeah, you know that's not *really* food, huh? " which is basically exactly what his reaction looked like. " you want me to eat what? that's not food! " i love it. Guest guest
Oh my child wouldn't even eat loaf bread (only whole wheat pita bread) until she was 6. I guess she just didn't like the texture. robin koloms <rkoloms wrote: My daughter had her first encouter with white bread at preschool and refused to eat it. Guest guest
Cute! My son likes " chunky " bread (i.e., bread with nuts/grains in it). He's definitely ahead of where I was at his age. I liked to eat mayonnaise on white Sunbeam with nothing else! Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Check outnew cars at Autos. Guest guest
I also had a " proud mommy moment. " My kids are with my parents because our nanny is recovering form an operation. Well, my parent's took the kikids to McDonald's (I don't approve - long story but my parents are vegetarian so they will not feed the boys meat - but I have a thing against McDonalds). Anyway, my eldest refused to eat anything but the apples because, according to him, " Mommy says the food is bad for me. " All the while the yonger one (21 months) ate fries and grilled cheese happily - my eldest was so hungry too but refused to eat. I am so proud of him! My mother on the other hand... Guest guest
Do your parents realize that McDonalds fries have beef flavoring in them? If they are vegetarian, they should NOT be eating them or feeding them to your kids. Tracy , " peej2e2 " <johnsontew wrote: > > I also had a " proud mommy moment.
