Guest guest
*googles it* *gasp* RAW CHICKEN LIVER???????????????? For BABIES????????? *pukes* And why the hell freeze it for 14 days? To kill bacteria? I'm sorry, I'm a microbiologist and we regularly freeze bacteria for up to a YEAR, in order to KEEP THEM ALIVE. Oh my. Oh, Gods. I'm almost sorry I asked. I can't even articulate what I'm thinking right now. *shakes head* Cindy _____ On Behalf Of Linda Evans 23 May 2007 17:05 RE: NY Times OP-ED Slams V egan Diet... Weston A. Guest guest
Do what I do and just imagine them as a cult of crazy people. It helps me to make sense of why they would do something like that. There's just no other explanation for it. I racked my brain for a couple of days wondering about it, and the only thing I came up with is that it's some sort of cult. Maybe I'm wrong, but it helps me to make sense of someone feeding their baby raw liver. Any liver. Ew. It is a gross cult. Guest guest
The thing about liver that freaks me out more than just about any other meat is this. A liver is the body's way of removing toxins from the blood. Ergo, it is full of toxins. Drugs, pollutants, byproducts of disease, you name it. Why would anyone want to eat that? They can waffle as long as they like about how full of iron or whatever it is, but it's still full of toxins. It's like eating a catalytic converter from a car, you know?? Ugh. Guest guest
I know!! This just floors me, whenever people talk about eating liver I just think about the glass of rum that's usually somewhere nearby and wonder if they realize that if someone ate my liver they'd probably get a little dizzy!! The things we humans come up with... sigh. Underwood-Fowler Cindy <CDUFOWLER wrote: The thing about liver that freaks me out more than just about any other meat is this.
