Guest guest Posted June 15, 2001 Report Share Posted June 15, 2001 I've had this sauce on grilled asparagus and it's good; will try it on chard! * Exported from MasterCook * Swiss Chard Stalks with Tahini Recipe By :Wasatch Yard and Garden: Home Grown Cooking Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Side Dishes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 pounds Swiss chard -- stalks only 4 cloves garlic -- finely minced (4 to 5) 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste or sesame butter) 1/2 teaspoon salt Cut the stalks into 1 " pieces. Steam or boil until tender. Whisk the tahini, garlic, lemon juice and salt together until smooth. If your tahini is dry or too thick, add a little water a teaspoon at a time until the sauce is the consistency of heavy cream. Fold in the diced chard stalks. Add more lemon juice to taste. Serve as a dip, or a spread with pita bread, raw vegetables, or as a salad.
