Guest guest Posted August 23, 2001 Report Share Posted August 23, 2001 Author says that his mother served this delicious loaf on washdays- * Exported from MasterCook * Nuttolene Recipe By :James Mays Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup hot water 1 cup tomato puree 1/2 cup onion soup mix 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon sage 1 teaspoon salt egg substitute: 1/3 cup flour 1/3 cup water 4 1/2 teaspoons canola oil 1/2 tablespoon baking powder Preheat oven to 350F. Beat peanut butter and water together until creamy. Add tomato puree, soup mix, thyme, sage, and salt. In a separate bowl combine your egg substitute. Add egg substitute to the peanut butter mixture. Combine thoroughly. Pour into a greased Pyrex baking dish. Place in a larger baking dish filled with water, which will act as your heat sleeve. Bake for 3 hours or until knife comes out clean from the center of the pan. Cool and slice.
