Is it like tomato paste? Where can I find it, and if I can't is there something I can substitute? Thanks. Guest guest
So far, I've only seen this product at a local SDA ABC store (I go there about 2-3 times a year and stock up). Tartex is the brand this particular recipe calls for -- if you can't find it, you might be able to find another brand of vegetable pate. Tartex comes in a small " flattish " can (like a very small tuna can). I think I've seen vegetarian pate at a grocery or other store, but cannot recall the brands. Maybe an online store might have it too. ???? Let me know whether or not you find it or something similar or not.
