Anyway, here we go: * Exported from MasterCook Mac * Shalgum Saag (Punjabi Turnips) Recipe By : Eruna Schultheiss, adapted from Ashu Rajpal Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetables Indian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 fresh turnips -- peeled and cut 1 inch ginger -- minced 3 cloves garlic -- minced 2 inches Anaheim chili peppers 1/4 teaspoon sugar none to very little water -- For Tempering -- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 onion -- slices 2 tablespoons besan = chickpea flour or yellow corn flour Cook the turnips, ginger, garlic, Anaheim pepper and sugar in pressure cooker for 5 minutes high pressure. Use the slow release method. In the meantime temper the spices. Add the flour and mix well. Add to cooked turnips. Mix and mash with spatula. Enjoy!
