With a fork, stir in the oil and water. Shape the dough into a ball. On a lightly surface, roll the dough out into a 13-inch circle Place in a 10-inch pie pan and crimp the edges. She's probably made hundreds of these crusts, which come together quickly and are surprisingly easy to roll out. Use this recipe anytime you want a vegan crust. Yields one 10-inch pie shell Total time: 10 minutes Lizzie's choice During the last decade, a growing number of people have chosen to be vegans. A vegan diet consists solely of foods from the plant world and most vegans oppose animal slaughter and the living conditioons of most commercial livestock. So they do not wear leather, wool, silk, shelld, feathers, pearls, or bone, and they avoid milk, eggs, honey, meat, poultry and fish. Here's a very familiar scenario these days. The phone rings at the restaurant. On the other end is a very pleasant woman from New Jersey, whi is driving up for her daughter Lizzie's birthday. Lizzie is a student at Ithaca College and they'd like to come to Moosewood for dinner. There's just one problem - Lizzie's a vegan.
