I wasn't ignoring this request - just that my simple answer is 'No' - as in I don't know of any offhand. Perhaps someone else can help you with some websites. I assume you are looking for some vegan weight-loss plans? And I will assume no allergies and no medical problems that would prohibit certain categories of foods. Perhaps you could try googling for something - although I didn't have a lot of luck when I tried. For starters, you might want to look at the following, which I had bookmarked from something or other: http://www.dietitians.ca/english/factsheets/e1992_03.html http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/3053.html This is in case you honestly don't know where to start and how to think about vegetarian food, of course. As for menu plans, I resist them like the plague :-) When I want to lose weight I simply cut back on amounts, drop the fats/oils down as far as possible (including cutting down on oily foods like nuts, avocadoes, etc) and avoid sugars and 'white' foods such as refined flour, white rice, non-wholewheat pasta, etc. It's slow, but it works. Ideally of course I'd eat healthily like that all the time, but sometime when one is away from one's own table a lot, foods creep in there that are not as healthy and they do put the pounds on! Otherwise, the McDougall Plan (I'm told) has a good reputation. We don't do that here, of course, although some members might. Best of luck! Guest guest
Oops -- I didn't see whether you are vegetarian or vegan. If you are vegetarian, Kraft Foods has some meal plans. They'll tell you everything to eat on a given day, the recipes, and even a shopping list. http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/HealthyLiving/ You can sign up for a 1500 calorie vegetarian meal plan there for free. Guest guest
Dean asked, " where I can find some sample menu plans? " A good place to start is the Vegetarian Resource Group. They provide nutritional information and recipes - http://www.vrg.org. I would also suggest getting a hold of a variety of vegetarian starter kits. You can go through this link to find a lot of them: http://www.bostonveg.org/go_veggie.html I also suggest this site about how to set up a vegetarian pantry: http://vegkitchen.com/tips/vegetarian-pantry.htm (Check out the main site, too http://vegkitchen.com) You might find it useful to to some vegetarian magazines like Vegetarian Times, Veggie Life, or Vegetarian Journal. I think you found a good thing with this recipe sharing list. from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos, http://www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events, http://www.soflavegevents.net
