Guest guest
Hi there, Kimberly! I see you have *just* joined the group - why not telll us a little bit about yourself? We love to know where people are and what they like to do and all that sort of stuff :-) Helps us get to know each other, right? Thanks for posting your menu. Keeping track of what you're eating day by day can be a very good way of making sure no extra calories or fats creep into the menu. I see that you are essentially keeping to low fat eating, which has to be healthy. And of course, eventually, people who have dropped all that fat will lose weight - sure and steady. But I also see that you are eating very little carbohydrate - just the low-cal high-fiber bread in the evening. Is this a particular diet plan you are following or one you have devised for yourself? Just curious. This is as you know a low-fat, low-cal group which aims to have people keep fit and healthy (and lose a little weight if that's what they want to do) through a lifestyle change that would include, ideally, for those who are able, regular exercise. I think you'll find it very useful! Any recipes you'd like to share? Best love, Pat (co-owner)

Ok, I get it :-) I won't ask what it is you're doing 'wrong' with the South Beach diet - but I understand that it is not really a good diet for vegetarians. Does your version of it actually *work* for you? Do you have support from other vegetarians trying to do that diet? Oh - sorry - more questions!! Ignore, pleasse. I am simply curious. Every now and then we get on this list dear members who are refugees, as it were, from Atkins, South Beach, etc. and so I am interested not only on my own behalf but on theirs. Anyway, very happy to have you here. Thanks for posting. And btw, I saw your explanation of the 'crabbing' - something you have given up but used to enjoy. Yes I remember way back when I used to do something that I would shudder at now and of which the memory actually gives me nightmares - even though we put the poor creatures back in their own environment after we had had our sport with them. But it was a [very] long time ago, in another country, and besides . . . ;-) Best love, Pat
