Guest guest
This is the only kind of Ezekiel bread I have seen in the supermarket. The actual company making it is Food For Life. They make three varieties: a sesame, sprouted whole grain, and cinnamon raisin. The front of the wrapper says " Flourless. " The back has a lot of text that goes into all kinds of detail, but it does say, " Different from most breads today, this unique bread is made from freshly sprouted live grains and contains absolutely no flour. The Food for Life Ezekiel bread is the one that is in the Weight Watchers book listing points of different food stuffs. It does come up 1 point. I apologize for not including the brand name. I did not realize there were other brands around. Sue , " veggiehound " <veggiehound wrote: > > > Thanks Sue! Guest guest
My earlier post on this doesn't seem to have made it to the list, so here I go again: Sue wrote: > This is the only kind of Ezekiel bread I have seen in the > supermarket. The actual company making it is Food For Life. Thanks for that! I shall looki for it! > I apologize for not including the brand name. I did not realize > there were other brands around. No need to be sorry at all - you are quite correct that Ezekiel Bread should be made from sprouted grains and NO flour, but I was just mentioning that one I had seen had flour. I checked the net and some recipes use flour not sprouted grains too. So I was simply drawing attention to the kind *you* were meaning - and that is the kind I'll be watching out for, with thanks to you! Anyone know if I am likely to be able to find it in Ontario? Just a thought . . .. love, pat

Check the freezer sections as it has very little keeping quality, and is either refrigerated or frozen. That being said, many ladies on another board I frequent are Canadian, even Ontarian, and they seem to eat it.
