Bob's comment about his cat's favorite sound being the can opener reminded me: I've gone out to try and round up kittens or cats that have been dumped. Most are house cats but to afraid to come out. I used to wish that I could bring an electric can opener with me. I've discovered that the " pop " of the pop top cans is just as effective. Most cats recognize that sound now and come running. I make lunch for my boyfriend nightly (he works 3rd shift) and she begs for lettuce, spinach, etc. when I am making his salad. I used to have a cat that loved mashed potatoes. That was before kids, and he was like my kid. Sadly, we lost him to feline leukemia over 20 years ago--that was before the vaccines were available. Paula.
