I can get Agave Nectar at my regular grocery store and also at the health food store. It comes in light and dark amber. I usually buy dark, but it does have a flavor that might not be found in the light. Guest guest
Hi Coleen, I do like very small amounts of honey so I will try this and see how it effects the blood sugars or I like the fruit idea too like I have said I am a fruit nut. Never know I may just like it.>> Dr. McDougall says it's okay to use some honey; I also use unsweetened fruit jams on toast, etc. Coleen All-new Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
Hi, ghee is clarified butter (no casein/lactose/dairy free but not vegan if that make sense). You can make your own but it is also sold in stores. The soup is actually ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice, 1 shallot minced, 1 cup rice, 1/2 cup peas, ½ cup cut asparagus, olive oil and veggie broth (salt to taste). I got the sprouted corn tortillas from “food for life”..they do gluten free brown rice breads (and lots of other stuff). You can get them in most grocers in the freezer/fridge section. ) KELLI _____ On Behalf Of katie brown Thursday, September 21, 2006 10:58 AM RE: today's meals Hi Kelli, What is ghee I am asuming it is a grain of some kind. your lunch soup sounds wonderful. Guest guest
I hate to have to tell you, Laura, but Beano is NOT vegetarian. It has fish ingredients. Luckily there are vegetarian versions of similar products available in health food stores. Also, digestive enzymes and probiotics (acidopholous, etc) can help. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events www.soflavegevents.net
Guest guest
Colleen asked, " Can you still buy iodine in a drug store? " I am very interested in the topic of iodine, since it is not an ingredient in sea salt, and I wonder whether we are missing something in our diets. We eat out enough so we probably get enough regular table salt, that does have iodine, but I still wonder. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events www.soflavegevents.net

I thought it was OK because Mary McDougall recommended it on the tape or DVD I watched. Hmmm... Do you know what ingredient in this is from fish? I don't see anything I recognize.
