It is often made with chicken bones- they are boiled to produce a jelly like substance which is then made into Gelatin. Debbie I agree, though my understanding is that it is also from boiled hides, and hooves as well as various bones. Kosher is either when the pork issues are left out, or when I the Rabbi blesses it. My info could be old though, so please research if you are particular about these things. I just don't take chances and don't use anything with gelatin. But the one that was purchased by my old roommate (a couple of months ago) is the one with the ingredients I listed. I only included the ingredients that I knew to contain animal ingredients.
