Guest guest
Thank you to Charlie for posting the nutritional value of this recipe! My book did not actually have it when I looked this evening. Wow! What a response to a simple recipe. I had no idea when I posted this it would generate such interest. Some one asked for stew and I found a recipe. I am not sorry though, as I think it has shown different views of what slimming means to each of us. That there is no " right " way. We each have our own health issues and beliefs to follow. Some are completely vegetarian, some vegan, some a bit of both with a bit of meat here and there. My opinion is to eat naturally, unprocessed, watch portions, low fat, with variety, and leave the animals alive where I can enjoy them! One thing I need to really give a hand to, is even though there has been many comments, no one has attacked any one or their beliefs. I think this is tremendous. I also believe that the different perspectives and the comforting way that they have been offered without attack, is truly a nice thing. After all, we are all basically on the same page, various amounts to lose, or just trying to hang on. This list for various recipes, which is provided, but also encouragement, sharing and comfort when one of us struggles. Well done everyone. My only regret, is that one member has taken this personally. For that may I say I am sorry for posting this recipe. For all the good that it created and new information shared, I am glad I did. Encouragement to all! Kym

Guest guest
I have to chime in about this: If I see a recipe with ingredients I don't like and or eat, I either substitute, leave those ingredients out if I can, or disregard the recipe. It is that simple. Non meat eaters can substitute Tofu for meat in a lot of dishes. Don't let one person discourage you. Guest guest
I do the same thing Jo Anne. For example, I don't like mushrooms and although many of our fave dishes orginally called for them.... turns out just fine without!
