Guest guest
Yumm, the pumpkin ice cream sounds wonderful. Maybe with some walnuts on top. Not very slimming though. Guest guest
Hey Zen ~ We try to eat a lot of tofu and beans to get our protein. I love nuts too but they are so yummy and high calorie I try to limit them. As far as calcium...I don't consciously seek calcium rich foods and I'm not a big milk drinker so I supplement with a calcium pill along with my multi-vitamin. The only milk I really get these days are with my non-fat mochas! :-D Cindi zen white <zenbaby7 wrote: How do you get your protein and calcium? . Guest guest
Ooh, we went to out & had Thai food with a friend the other night and splurged and had Thai Tea Ice Cream for dessert. A milder version of say Chai. It had a few peanuts on top. My partner and I shared the dish and it was really good/different. Guest guest
Hay Cindi, I hope you’re having a great weekend. I use to hate tofu until someone told me to “press” it. Now I have it most every day. It’s cheep, low cal and easy to fix. I’m having black been n brown rice today though, with lots of veggie. My doctor prescribes me a protein shake meal replacement that’s high in calcium; to drink in between meals not instead of a meal. How do you get the flax seed oil. Is it in a pill? Guest guest
My weekend is going well so far, thanks! Yea, I never really tried tofu before becoming a vegetarian so I wasn't sure about it, but I love the versatility of it! I like the different textures you can get from it, frozen, baked, fried, etc. We take our flax seed oil in liquid form. Here is the product we use http://barleans.com/flaxoil.asp. We just put it in a bit of juice and drink it, usually after dinner. I just saw at the bottom of the page they now have flavored ones for kids! Very cool... Guest guest
I love cheese and yogurt but I'm thinking about trying some of the many soy products out there. Guest guest
Hi Zen, I take Health from the Sun organic flax oil in a vegetarian capsule. I cannot find it at any of the hf stores in my area, so order it online from iHerb. Karen
