This was the first time in like forever that my life has been so stressful that I lost complete control and acted out with food. I’m not going to boar you with the details of my stress. But I am going to let this motivate me to go to the gym tomorrow and walk on the treadmill for an hour (or till me knee gives out) to either work off the 4 pounds of food I eat or to punish myself. I never say to have any answers but then most of the time what is really needed is just a place to vent or at least that is true for me. So any how I just wanted to offer it to you. The biggest thing you have to watch out for is beating yourself up over it. Just get back on the program and realize that is on ly one day. We've all been there including yours truly. You should allow yourself that option to take some pressure off. I found out I need a shout “time out” between my hectic workday and my home life. I have to be in control of my feelings and emotions all day n when I get home I feel safe and I think I tell myself it's okay to eat n eat because I deserve it for putting up with the stress of the work place all day. This is probable where “Happy Hour” came from. I think I need a “Happy Hour” so ta speak. Time to calm down. Maybe a meditation or a relaxation tape on the way home or something. I do deserve to be at peace but the food didn’t really get me there because then I had to go through the guilt, shame n self hatred I felt from over eating.
