Guest guest
Yea, you're right Erin! I should have said we treat ourselves to decadent meals every so often but still eat plenty of yummy healthy meals. :-D Very detailed blog by the way! Mine's not that detailed but I work on it when I can... http://cookingwithluinda.blogspot.com/ Cindi Erin <truepatriot wrote: Cindi wrote, in response to Tami's introduction: > > I know what you mean about settling into a not-so-healthy > vegetarian diet. Guest guest
We actually really like pasta, pizza and potatoes.. carbs... all that stuff. That's why it takes a little more effort to reach beyond them, but it's so good for us. Erin, your website looks wonderful. Especially you're baked goods! Yum! I'm definitely going to work on the tofu creations.. and hope to be able to share something here sometime. If you ever get motivated, you can make your own seitan from scratch (A LOT of work, imho) or from a box of vital wheat gluten. It's so good! :0 Tami

It's so good! :0 Yes, I make homemade seitan all the time using wheat protein (no rinsing and wasting flour). It is so versatile... different spice combinations and cooking techniques can take it in such varied directions. Great stuff, fun and easy. Unfortunately, I consume so much of it, I think I'm causing an allergy to it or something. -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog
Guest guest
Erin, I know what you mean about seitan-- could eat it every day. How horrible that you might be getting an alergy to it. We had it with bok choy over rice on Saturday and in a bordelaise last night. That one was so sood that we're having it with company on Wednesday. Both these recipes are from one of Robin Robertson's books. Tami
