Hmm, are you putting uncooked beans & rice in all at the same time? When I've

made rice & beans in the cooker I've used canned beans and have added cooked

rice towards the end. Not sure what to tell you Zen, just keep experimenting!

Oh okay Cindi. Yeah I put uncooked beans & uncooked rice in all at the same

time. Will if I have to cook the beans in one pot, then the rice, there’s no

need for the slow cooker. Oh well.

rice & beans cook at diff rates & have diff liquid requirements. How about

uncooked rice & cooked beans (or partially cooked beans)?

So after cooking the beans, through in the rest of the stuff; rice, veggie?

I'm just getting to know our slow cooker Zen and I haven't experimented away

from any recipes yet so not too sure what to tell you! Seems like you should be

able to cook one of them in the slow cooker though.
