Guest guest
Hmm, are you putting uncooked beans & rice in all at the same time? When I've made rice & beans in the cooker I've used canned beans and have added cooked rice towards the end. Not sure what to tell you Zen, just keep experimenting! Guest guest
Oh okay Cindi. Yeah I put uncooked beans & uncooked rice in all at the same time. Will if I have to cook the beans in one pot, then the rice, there’s no need for the slow cooker. Oh well. Cindi <cindi93069 wrote: Hmm, are you putting uncooked beans & rice in all at the same time? Guest guest
rice & beans cook at diff rates & have diff liquid requirements. How about uncooked rice & cooked beans (or partially cooked beans)? zen white <zenbaby7 wrote: Oh okay Cindi. Yeah I put uncooked beans & uncooked rice in all at the same time. Guest guest
So after cooking the beans, through in the rest of the stuff; rice, veggie? That does sound better since I use soaked dry bean not caned. Thanks. Beth Renzetti <elmothree2000 wrote: rice & beans cook at diff rates & have diff liquid requirements. Guest guest
I'm just getting to know our slow cooker Zen and I haven't experimented away from any recipes yet so not too sure what to tell you! Seems like you should be able to cook one of them in the slow cooker though. Cindi zen white <zenbaby7 wrote: Oh okay Cindi. Yeah I put uncooked beans & uncooked rice in all at the same time.
