My bank recommended us only bring our credit cards and not cash but if I want rent a locker or something can I with credit cards. Thanks so much your advice we have never been on a big trip. Guest guest
When we go to DisneyWorld, we use the lockers outside each ride we are on... I've never paid because its free for a length in time. what I do suggest is to buy the express pass...when you get your tickets... so much faster...less time in any line than us who were too cheap to pay for it. I'll never make that mistake again. Express pass is the way to go. I used my credit cards for food and shopping. I never used them at the little carts. Cash for those... , Steph <mrswalp29 wrote: > > I know many of you adore Disney and have been many times my question is can I use my credit card or debit card almost everywhere there? Guest guest
We used cash for everything in Disneyland, other than our entrance passes. Used a fanny pack, so there was no chance of putting it down and forgetting about it, or of it getting in the way when we were on rides. We did use Express Pass, and never waited for more than 10 minutes for any ride. Guest guest
I have been to 3 of the Disney resorts, you didn't mention which one you're going to. When you get on rides any packages you're carrying may be able to taken on the ride with you and you can put them at your feet. The rides that really pick up momentum, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, etc the attendant will ask you to leave your packages on the unloading ramp. They only have 3 or 4 coaches on these rides at any time and they unload your coach at the same spot you got on, so the attendants are keeping an eye on them. The lockers you rent you need coins for, like 50 cents or 75 cents, I can't recall the exact amount. Its kind of like those lockers you put coins in when you go to the swimming pool where you put your coin in and remove a key to carry around with you. The difference being these Disney lockers are only good for one opening. If you go back several times throughout the day to add packages you must put coins back in if you want to relock the locker and take the key out again. So to answer your question, I don't believe you can use a debit or credit card for the lockers as they were all coin operated. But technology being what it is, perhaps Disney now offers debit or credit card activated lockers at some of their locations. However, there were other lockers in a different location that were quite a bit more expensive, like around $10, maybe more, and thy gave you unlimited access. I think there were attendants in that location. Disney has ABM's around the resort, so even if you didn't bring cash but wanted some when you get there, you can access it. For example if you want to buy anything from the vendors walking around the resort (balloons, ice cream, popcorn) you will need cash. All the stores and shops take credit cards. Have a fun trip!
