Sorry, I've gotten behind in my posts lately ... but does anyone have a

good recipe for good old-fashioned stir-fry vegetables? Mine don't

have any flavor and just adding tamari/soy sauce doesn't do much for

me. Someone at work suggested the bottled sauces, but I would prefer

something natural/homemade. Any and all suggestions appreciated!

in addition to the tamari, freshly grated ginger, red pepper flakes, and

toasted sesame seeds added as a light garnish, perhaps?

I always make sure that the stir-fry has onions and garlic in it for

lots of flavour, and I like to add black pepper and oriental

five-spice (or cinnamon, if I have no five-spice, because DS happens

to have dumped all of my spices in the toaster and I haven't replaced

them all yet!) I use five-spice when I am roasting vegetables in the

oven, too.

Hey Coleen ~

I haven't made old fashioned stir fried veggies (but now I'm thinking about

it!), but if you want to try something a little different, I've made a great

sweet & sour veggie & tofu dish you might like.

The recipe is in our files in the main Recipes folder: Main Dishes under Sweet

& Sour Tofu with Vegetables. We've always eaten it by itself although the

recipe suggests eating with rice.
